On Friday, March 20th Major League Soccer extended its league-wide training moratorium until March 27th, 2020. Players are expected to remain in their club’s respective cities and are expected to perform social distancing.
This news follows Thursday’s statement regarding the Center for Disease Control’s recommendation and the postponement of all matches until the end of the 8 week period, which would approximately take us to mid-May.
Major League Soccer is still confident in playing a full season and is open to moving MLS Cup to December 2020. Up until 2019, MLS Cup was played around the 10th of December every year.

If the early prediction of the spread of the virus is correct, we are still at the beginning of the upward curve and the time frame of the social distancing measures could be prolonged.
