Scuderia F1 Ep. 48 – Seb Vettel under investigation for Baku clash and Formula E
This week with a later than usual release we have a very busy show with all the latest news from the Formula 1 paddock and our review of last weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The huge talking point from that Grand Prix, of course, was Sebastian Vettel’s clash with Lewis Hamilton while the pack was following the safety car. Vettel was penalized with a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for causing a collision, but the Ferrari driver could still face additional punishment.
The FIA announced earlier this week that they are investigating Vettel for his intentional ramming of Lewis Hamilton’s car, and the German could face a one-race ban or have his Azerbaijan GP result expunged from the records.
For once we have news from McLaren that doesn’t involve their ongoing drama with their unreliable and under powered Honda engines. This week the news from Woking has to do with former team boss Ron Dennis formally splitting from the company he helped build since the early 1980’s.
Finally with the Montreal ePrix just a few weeks away now, we begin our Formula E coverage with an overview of the series, the teams, the drivers and who to watch out for at the end of the month.
